Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 27, 2026
Logan Social Services ("we", "us", "our") operates https://www.theangersite.com (the "Website" or "Service"), an online platform providing anger management and related courses.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect your personal information when you visit our Website, create an account, enroll in courses, or otherwise interact with our Service.
This policy applies to users in the United States (including California under CCPA/CPRA), Canada (under PIPEDA), and Mexico (under LFPDPPP). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide our courses and fulfill legal verification requests.
a. Information you provide directly
• Account & profile: first name (used to auto-generate non-editable username with appended numbers), email address, password (hashed), user ID
• Enrollment & learning: courses enrolled, progress, quiz/test results, certificates earned
• Payment-related: billing name and address provided to PayPal during redirect (we do not collect or store payment card details)
• Communications: messages sent to support
We do not collect profile pictures, bios, interests, or any optional profile fields.
b. Automatically collected information
• Device & network: IP address, browser type/version, operating system, device identifiers, approximate location (from IP)
• Usage: pages visited, time spent, courses viewed, interaction with content
c. From third parties
• Cloudflare Turnstile (CAPTCHA): verification tokens to prevent bots on forms
• PayPal: transaction confirmation via Instant Payment Notification (IPN) after you complete payment on PayPal's site (includes payment status, amount, transaction ID; no card details received or stored by us)
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or 16 in some jurisdictions). If we become aware of such data, we will delete it.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely for:
• Providing and managing course access, progress tracking, and certificate issuance
• Authenticating you and securing your account
• Confirming payment receipt via PayPal IPN to activate enrollment
• Responding to support inquiries
• Verifying enrollment, status, or completion when contacted by courts, probation officers, attorneys, or other authorized entities
• Complying with legal obligations and maintaining records for potential court/probation inquiries
We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or unsolicited communications of any kind.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
• US: Contract performance, legitimate interests (service delivery, security, legal compliance), legal obligations.
• Canada (PIPEDA): Consent (express or implied), legitimate purposes.
• Mexico (LFPDPPP): Consent or exceptions (e.g., contractual/legal necessity).
You may withdraw consent where applicable (may limit features).
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share data only as necessary:
• With PayPal — when you choose to pay, you are redirected to PayPal's secure site to complete payment. We receive only confirmation via IPN (e.g., transaction status, amount, ID).
• With Cloudflare — for form verification and bot detection (Turnstile).
• With authorized entities (courts, probation officers, attorneys, family members for legal purposes, counselors, employers, or similar parties) — we may provide confirmation of enrollment status, course completion, progress, participation, completion date (if completed), enrolled course(s), hours/weeks completed, and related official documentation (such as certificates or status letters) **upon their request**. This sharing is limited to non-personal, education-related details necessary to verify standing in our courses and does not include sensitive personal identifiers unless required by law.
• For legal requirements (e.g., subpoenas) or business transfers.
We are **not** a healthcare provider, mental health service, or covered entity under HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), and we do **not** collect, maintain, or process protected health information as defined under that law — therefore, HIPAA does not apply to our Service. We are a private educational company and do not receive federal funding that would subject us to FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) obligations. We handle such verification requests in accordance with our role as an educational service provider and applicable law, with safeguards to minimize disclosure of personal details.
5. Data Retention
We retain data indefinitely for active accounts and as long as necessary for legal/compliance purposes (e.g., potential court, probation, or attorney inquiries regarding course enrollment, status, or completion).
• Logs/security data: up to 12 months (unless required longer for legal reasons)
• Legal/tax records: 7 years or as required by law
We do not routinely delete account or enrollment records due to ongoing potential for verification requests from authorized parties.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location:
• Access, correct, update, or delete your information (subject to legal retention obligations)
• California (CCPA/CPRA): Right to know categories collected/used/shared, delete, opt-out of sale/sharing, limit sensitive data use, correct inaccurate data
• Canada (PIPEDA): Withdraw consent, access/correct data
• Mexico (LFPDPPP): ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation, Opposition)
Submit requests to william@logansocialservices.com. We respond within 30–45 days (extendable if complex). Note: Some data may be retained indefinitely for legal verification purposes.
7. Automated Decision-Making and AI
We do not use automated decision-making technology (ADMT) or AI systems that make significant decisions about you without human review.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies handled in-house for sessions and basic functionality.
• Cloudflare Turnstile (CAPTCHA) may set limited cookies for bot detection on forms only.
You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings (may affect site functionality).
9. International & Cross-Border Transfers
Your data is primarily hosted in Arizona, United States, with some processing by US-based providers like Cloudflare and PayPal. For transfers outside your country, we use contractual safeguards to protect your information.
10. Security
We implement reasonable measures (HTTPS, hashing, rate limiting, CAPTCHA via Cloudflare Turnstile, limited access) but no method is 100% secure.
11. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by law (e.g., California and other US states), treating them as opt-out requests for data sales/sharing.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may include email/site notice.
